The importance of Soft skills development and attitude development for the youth is a matter of high concern today. Lack of Vision, wrong Influence of media & cinema, Lack of career orientation, unemployment, negativity in the society and wrong role models are all reasons for our negative youth energy. Much of our youth are clueless about their future and with just ambitions for making money, which is quite dangerous for a society. With so much of diversions possible, the youth needs to be channelized in the right path so that they can contribute better as future citizens. The role of training, coaching and mentoring by right professionals at the right time is of prime importance.
We, hereby would like to address Two major objectives under the purview of this project.
Promoting Soft Skills & Employability Skills
The age of 16 to 25 is a time, when the youth needs the right orientation and support in order to identify their skill sets, their strengths, and weaknesses and take necessary corrective actions. Employers today are talking about lack of employability skills among the fresher. Moreover, there are immense numbers of frauds happening in the name of job oriented Trainings and students take up these programs imagining that they will land up in a high paying job after the course. However, that becomes a dream. They need to be cautioned and guided the right trainings as well.
Promoting SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Social entrepreneurs are those who impact the lives of people in ways beyond the normal profit oriented entrepreneurship. However, we are yet to tap the potentials of young leaders to involve in socially oriented projects and create a sustainable project. Highly Talented young leaders when groomed in the right direction will be the biggest asset of a society. For this, leadership skills must be identified at the right time and groomed to give results.
Leaders Collective – A Soft Skills Training cum Leadership Contest for Social Entrepreneurship for 16 to 25years
To instill the necessity for soft skills development among higher secondary / College students so that they take a self- directed approach towards it.
To identify a group of young leaders through a series of contests and nurture their leadership skills and providing them a platform for higher success.
How we meet the Two-Fold Objective
A team of Soft Skills Trainers visits the participating educational institution on the same day and talk on various soft skills topics to the students. This will be a free event for the students and they get to listen to various trainers and various topics on one stage. The advantage of listening to various trainers is that the students gets inspired, educated and informed about the necessity of self development of soft skills. Trainer Talks will be coordinated by Trainers 4 Tomorrow Forum (A forum for Soft skills Trainers )
The visiting panel of Soft skills trainers acts as judges to identify the “Leaders Collective Fellow” (LCF) from each institution through a public speaking contest- ideally in English, as well as a public Interview process.
The identified LCFs from each institution are then invited for a special 10 days grooming workshop at the end of the entire program. (1 team comprising of 2 LCFs from 1 institution)
Each LCF Team gets a Prizes as well as an Investment fund for Social Entrepreneurship.
The LCF fellows then participate in a series of social initiatives during the next year in their colleges /society.
The year after, a review is done and the best performers are rewarded and recognized in an Annual Leaders Collective Summit.
